FRENCH FOOD CART
Les Oiseaux, which translates to “the birds,” is a modern Portland food cart specializing in casual French food. The menu is simple and convenient with a focus on both sweet and savory crêpes. The colors are classic French bistro while the eerie style of illustration suggests something a bit darker. A surreal beauty reminiscent of Amélie, paired with a Hitchcock film noir feel, attracts patrons to indulge their curiosities as well as their cravings. Bon appétit!
CRAFT BREWERY
While the Belmont Goats had to move further east, their memory will be forever immortalized by Belmont Beer Company. Located in what are now called the Goat Blocks, BBC pushes traditional boundaries with aggressive brews, a breakneck seasonal release schedule, and a kaleidoscopic labeling system. In a sea of more subdued brands, BBC beers jump off the shelf just like the bad little billies that inspired them.
SOCIAL STATIONERY SET
If wit is the most effective form of communication, then why not bare your soul with a gourmet food pun? This set of social stationery was inspired by my eccentric friend who contrived some of these clever puns while working at an Italian restaurant. While the menu items are highbrow and suggestive of an elite audience, the illustration style and hand lettering will kill anyone with cuteness.
STUFT GREEK OLIVES
It’s time to celebrate! “Opa!” as the Greeks say, can be a cry of surprise, a positive acclaim or an invitation to join in the hoopla. OPA! Stuft Greek Olives are a fun, festive appetizer that deliver gourmet flavors in a playful package. Whimsical round letters are transformed into stout little olives...or are they ogling eyeballs? Either way these olives are sure to delight.

FAMILY VINEYARDS
The Medusa family uprooted to the Willamette Valley bringing traditional, time-honored Italian wine making to a the Pacific Northwest. An important symbol for the family, the jellyfish is the star of this design, delicately interacting with the elegant type. Line-work elements create the illusion of an Old World engraved font, which when contrasted with the modern ultralight type, bridges the two worlds.
